MEI Environmental Initiative

March 26, 2018

The English Language Education industry depends on air travel. Students fly around the world for their studies, many travelling great distances. Furthermore marketers and representatives from schools travel to conferences and workshops to unearth potential new partnerships. Global travel is an integral part of our sector.

In an attempt to right this imbalance, MEI has pledged to repeat the  environmental initiative of planting native Irish trees at the International Scout Centre at Glencree, Co. Wicklow.

This year we have planted a further 65 trees to represent one tree per MEI member school.

The Tree Council wish to thank MEI for their continued support.” Brendan Fitzsimons, CEO,  Tree Council of Ireland.
