Marketing English in Ireland (MEI) is committed to upholding exceptional standards and guaranteeing quality in Ireland’s English Language Education (ELE) industry.

All MEI members are accredited by the Irish government, ensuring they meet not only governmental criteria but also MEI’s stringent standards.

This rigorous accreditation process guarantees that the facilities and programs provided by our members are of superior quality, offering the best in English language education.

In November 2023, the Irish Government launched the International Education Mark to enhance quality assurance in education. MEI collaborated with Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) and the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science in its development.

MEI is dedicated to guiding and training its members to adapt to these elevated standards, ensuring continued excellence in education.

The historic quality assurance body in Ireland was the Accreditation and Coordination of English Language Schools (ACELS). While the IEM is being rolled out, all ELE providers who deliver programmes to Non-EEA or Swiss nationals must be included on the Interim List of Education Providers (ILEP).
